Conference Carolinas Welcomes New Staff to League Office

High Point, N.C.> Conference Carolinas is proud to welcome three new staff members into the league office in Ashly Berry, Darryle Bajomo, and Lauren Silva. The league offices bring in a wealth of talent with the three additions as they gear-up for the 2012-13 academic year.  

“We are extremely excited to have our new staff in place for the upcoming year,” stated Associate Commissioner Brook Patterson.  “Having the additional position is something we have needed as we look to grow the services for our members into the future.  We will hit the ground running and can’t wait for a great year for the league.”

Ashly Berry comes to Conference Carolinas from Western Kentucky University where she served as the assistant women’s volleyball coach.  Ashly will serve the league as the Compliance Director and Senior Woman Administrator.  The former WKU Hilltopper was previously a volleyball student-athlete. Ashly now resides in nearby Kernersville, NC with husband Neill and one year old son Ty.

Darryle Bajomo joins Conference Carolinas and will be relocating from Charlotte, NC, where he served in various capacities during the inaugural season of the Charlotte Hounds, of Major League Lacrosse.  Darryle will serve as the league’s new Communications Director, bringing a journalism and information technology background from his days at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The former Tar Heel was vice president of the UNC Club Football team.

Lauren Silva arrives from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts.  The former NCAA DII field hockey student-athlete gained valuable experience as the NCAA national SAAC representative for the Northeast-10 Conference and will now serve as our league’s Conference Officer.  After relocating with her puppy from New City, NY, Lauren is adjusting nicely to High Point’s ‘big city feel’.
